We are delighted to be able to offer this stunning vest as a project kit designed by Emma Vining.

Emma says “With long lines of branches leading to a rich canopy of leaves, my vest design combines texture and cables to evoke the feel of the majestic trees surrounding you whilst walking through the forest. The lower front and back feature long vertical lines of tree branches knitted in a textured garter stitch rib. The branches are interspersed with leaves falling from the tree tops.

The upper sections of the front and back are filled with an abundance of leaves which are “drawn” onto the knitting using 2 and 3 stitch cables. The shapes formed in-between the multiple leaves in the upper canopy section mirror the multiple leaf shapes and show hints of the lower branches extending into the canopy. The sides of the vest feature the tree branch rib which also extends into the armhole shaping.”

Your knitting project kit will contain the pattern and sufficient skeins of Tamar 4-ply for your chosen size, presented in one of our cotton Blacker Yarns tote bags. The sample is knitted in Tiddy Brook, but you can pick from any of our lovely Tamar shades.
