Woven Crochet Grab Bag – Project Kit

This simple, quick to make, handy little bag is made using crochet woven stitch (also known as crochet moss stitch or crochet linen stitch).  This is an easy stitch and gives the unusual appearance of a lovely woven fabric.

This bag would be really useful as a project bag, but we think is so stylish and unique, could be used for other purposes.

Our kit for this bag comes in our recyclable box, and contains the pattern by Rebecca Anaspure, and two skeins of Westcountry Tweed. The bag in our photos was crocheted using our Caribbean Storm shade, but you can pick from any of our Westcountry Tweed shades.

The finished measurements of the bag are 30cm wide, 20 cm high, and 5cm deep.

To complete your project you will need a 4.5 mm crochet hook, a 7mm crochet hook, a darning needle, 8 stitch markers, and a blocking board and pins.

The gauge/tension: 10 x 10 cm square – 17 stitches x 18 rows.

This project is graded easy (1 sheep) – you will need to simple chain, double crochet and slip stitches only are used,
