The very rare Castlemilk Moorit sheep was a breed specially created from crossing Manx Loagthan and Shetland sheep to make a small parkland sheep for the Castlemilk estate. After almost dying out, the remainder of the flock was rescued by Joe Henson and revived at the Cotswold Farm Park. Their wool is short and brown and makes an amazingly plushy and bulky brown yarn, ideal for outer wear and accessories.
