Issue 14 of Making Stories Magazine is out now and features top knitwear designer, Emma Vining’s wonderful Winterfold Vest, knitted in Blacker Yarns Tamar DK yarn, Tiddy Brook shade.
Emma says “With long lines of branches leading to a rich canopy of leaves, my vest design combines texture and cables to evoke the feel of the majestic trees surrounding you whilst walking through the forest. The lower front and back feature long vertical lines of tree branches knitted in a textured garter stitch rib. The branches are interspersed with leaves falling from the tree tops. The upper sections of the front and back are filled with an abundance of leaves which are “drawn” onto the knitting using 2 and 3 stitch cables”.
