The Hometown Cardigan is a beautiful everyday piece with just the right amount of textured details to make it a relaxing knit and a wardrobe favourite once finished. The cabled front pockets, half-twisted ribbing details on body and sleeves and a reverse stockinette background add that little extra that makes it stand out while still being a very wearable basic. Worked from the top down, this raglan cardigan doesn‘t require a lot of seaming. The buttonbans and pockets are worked last. Body length and sleeve length can be customised to fit you perfectly.

This cardigan is designed for Blacker Yarns’ Blacker Swan DK, a smooth, worsted-spun blend of Falkland Islands Dohne Merino with a bit of Shetland and Dark Bluefaced Leicester. The small amount of dark fibre adds depth to the dyed and undyed colourways, making the Blacker Swan palette extra special.
