Chevron Cardigan – Project Kit

This stylish round-necked, slanted pattern ladies’ cardigan kit, made in double knit Shetland yarn, is available in three sizes. It has a loose, “blouson” effect, and a striking moss stitch yoke. We love the chevron pattern, which is on both front, back and sleeves.

It can be knitted to finish just on the hips (36cm, 14”) or a longer jacket version (43cm, 17”). If you would like to knit the jacket version, please contact us to order the extra yarn. The welts and cuffs are in rib and the front bands are in lie-flat moss stitch.

Remember this could either work as a top or knit up looser to wear with something underneath, but the neck is quite wide to accommodate collars, etc.

Size 18-20    7 x 100g skeins of Pure Shetland DK Coffee Range

The sample shown in the photos is the longer jacket version and was knitted from our Shetland/BFL DK on cone so if you would prefer to this you can order yarn on cone through Yarn on Cone British Knitting & Crochet Wool – Blacker Yarns. Just let us know it is for the Chevron Cardigan in the order notes, and we will include a copy of the pattern with your order.

Also available as yarn on cone alternatives are Manx Loaghtan and Black Welsh Mountain in DK which we think would work equally well with this beautiful cardigan design.
