This year we are celebrating 15 years of operating our small and independent ecommerce business from our base in Cornwall, UK. We emerged in 2008 as a sister company to The Natural Fibre Company, our spinning mill where our beautiful yarns are made. Since those early days we have grown our range of beautiful 100% pure wool knitting yarns and crochet yarns and continue to champion British made products which are made to last, and can be treasured and handed on as heirloom garments.
To mark our 15th year as a unique yarn producer we have created a birthday yarn which we will be launching on Friday 22nd September 2023, along with some gorgeous, new project kits to inspire and delight.
We have chosen a strong Cornish theme, steeped in local myth and heritage, for this year’s Birthday Yarn and we hope you love it as much as we do. This special woollen spun yarn is a blend of smooth drapey Blue-Faced Leicester, with the bouncy froth of Shetland and some luxurious recycled silk made in one natural shade in a light grey and seven dyed shades.
