This beret was inspired by the fine pale and dark lines to be found on many Cornish beach pebbles.
This is a straightforward design, worked entirely in half treble crochet with increases. There are two options for colour changes, though there is nothing to stop you making a either a plain or rainbow version if you wish!
To make the ridged half treble stitch, insert the hook into the back loop (the one furthest away from you) only.
To make beret smaller, stop increasing when you reach the required circumference. To make the beret larger add extra rounds, increasing in the same way until you reach the required circumference. Do not forget to add in extra rows to the decrease.
