Mosaic Crochet Hot Water Bottle Cover – Project Kit

This gorgeous mosaic crochet hot water bottle cover has been designed for us by Rebecca Anaspure. Made from our Samite silk-blend in DK, it is not only really soft and snuggly, it will keep your bottle’s warmth until you are fast asleep.

This pattern uses UK crochet terminology.  The crochet cover is worked in a form of simple mosaic crochet in rows as one piece, folded and the side edges closed with double crochet stitches leaving an opening slit to insert the hot water bottle through in the back of the cover.  The neck section of the cover is added at the end and worked in rounds using a front post treble crochet stitch which creates a stretchy rib pattern.

Your kit will contain sufficient wool to make two hot water bottle covers – perhaps one for yourself and one for a friend (or cat!). It will be packed in one of our recyclable cardboard boxes, which will contain the pattern and 2 x 100g skeins of Samite Silk-blend DK, and one 20g mini skein. Please pick your two colours for the main shades, and let us know in the order notes what shade you would like for the mini skein.
