Isoud Tam and Mittens

These beautiful Fair Isle tam and mittens were designed by Virginia Sattler-Reimer using our Samite Silk Blend DK. Your project kit will contain four 100g skeins of our Samite DK, beautifully presented in one of our recyclable cardboard boxes. Virginia has used Merlin, Lancelot, Gawain and Morgan Le Fay, but you could pick any of our lovely Samite shades. This pattern is suitable for anyone with experience of reading a chart and stranded colour work.

Virginia says she was so happy to be part of the tradition of Blacker Yarns by working with our extra special Birthday Yarn this year. This year’s yarn takes inspiration from the fabrics of the Middle Ages, and the Legend of King Arthur, and with those elements in mind has created the Isoud Tam and Mittens, imagining what La Beale Isoud might wear, puttering around the Joyous Gard.
