Blomster Pullover – Project Kit
The beautiful Blomster is a ladies, top-down colourwork yoke pullover by knitwear designer, Walaa Emad. Knitted in Tamar Lustre DK yarn, the sample shown was created by Walaa using the colourways Red River for main colour and Kensey for contrasting colour.
Walaa says:”Blomster means flowers in Norwegian. I found the motif in a Norwegian book so I thought it very fitting to give my design a Norwegian name. The design inspiration came from the Tamar Lustre colours and the flowers. I wanted to make something simple to showcase both the motif and the yarn without one overpowering the other”.
The pullover features two sets of short rows: the first after the neckline and the second before separating the sleeves. The body is worked in stockinette, finishing with colourwork and ribbing at the hem. The sleeves are picked up and shaped with decreases, ending with matching colourwork and ribbed cuffs.
The Blomster Pullover Project Kit includes a printed pattern with four size options, and enough Tamar Lustre DK yarn for your chosen size, with 10 beautiful shades to choose from, each one named after a Cornish river.
