English breeds
Of course there has to be a place for the traditional white English sheep. We also have rare Herdwick, Ryeland and White-faced Woodland, more widely available Romney and Southdown, smooth creamy Blue-faced Leicester or luxurious Wensleydale and Teeswater, plus Cotswold, the historic "golden fleece". Our Galways, when available, are also listed here as they live in England ...
Among the natural colours we have Border Leicester, Ryeland and, of course, Jacob. And although they are really from Sweden and Holland, we have included Gotlands and Zwartbles, as the ones who have given us their wool happen to live in England!
Several of the naturals are now also available over-dyed, to mix with each other or add a highlight to the un-dyed yarn of the same breed.
