The Vellum cardigan is a bottom-up cardigan with a colourwork yoke and colourwork details at the wrists. It is knitted in the round with a steek. Vellum is worked in a beautiful artisan yarn from Blacker Yarns, Tamar Lustre DK.

The pattern is fully charted and written out. It includes a schematic and tips on how to modify fit. Vellum is inspired by the laborious processes involved in producing medieval manuscripts. The colour palette takes its cue from manuscripts with rich jewel tones framing a neutral main colour. Suitable for intermediate knitters.

We recommend as an alternative using our Shetland DK wool range. To make this gorgeous knitted cardigan with yoke and colourwork you will need the following quantities of wool depending upon size selected:

XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X)  – 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7) x 100g skeins in your chosen Main Colour and 3 x 100g skeins in different shades for Contrasting Colour.
