Description
This pretty and stylish fitted waistcoat or gilet comes in three adult sizes and is knitted in one piece then jointed at the shoulder, with an attractive curled edge to arms and neck. The pattern has a diamond cable on a reverse stocking stitch background to achieve a diamond trellis design.
The slim shape is easy and attractive for added warmth, or, if knitted in 4-ply on the same needles, would make an attractive evening option.
There are three fitted sizes: small 30" (76cm), medium 32" (81cm) and large 34" (86cm) and the waistcoat can be knitted longer or shorter as required.
You will need 300 gms Blacker Yarns Double Knitting yarn – this has knitted well in Alpaca and Shetland, but would also work in Jacob or Black Welsh Mountain. For a softer result, try our lovely new over-dyed yarns - pink or denim blue perhaps?
