Cable welt unisex pullover pattern

This unisex drop shoulder sleeved pullover features the same Celtic-style cable as we have used in our Beanie and Mitts and Bag patterns, used for the neck, cuffs and welt. The welt can be split, tunic-style, or sewn up and the pullover can be knitted oversized and casual or made to fit more closely for a more formal style. The cables are made first and then the sleeves and body of the garment are made by picking up stitches along one edge of the cable. It is knitted in the round, but we give instructions for back and forth as well.

Knitted in DK, the pullover comes sized in nine 5cm (2") increments from 81cm (32") up to 122cm (48") chest. It uses 400 grams for the smallest size and an extra 50 grams for each larger size (except at 102-106cm, 40-42" which both use 600 grams), so the largest size uses 750grams.
