Bedfordshire Wool Company

May Madness and to celebrate the lambs ... all the Bedfordshire Wool Company yarns are on offer at only £7.50 per 100g skein for May: enjoy!

Born and raised in Romney Marsh, David Reeves grew up in a rural area where the landscape and economy were dominated by sheep. After university, David moved to town, working as an accountant.

When finally settled with his young family in Bedfordshire, he seized the opportunity to fulfil his childhood dream and founded three flocks: of Southdown, White-faced Woodland and Shetland sheep. David conservation grazes the pedigree sheep across river meadow, grassland and parkland around Sandy in Bedfordshire, UK. Conservation grazing aims to balance woody/shrubby plants and species-rich grassland without added fertlisers, thus maintaining biodiversity of wild flowers and grasses. David also works with other flock owners to buy their wool and add value to their businesses.

The yarns available are: 4-ply Southdown, DK Southdown and Chunky White-faced Woodland, each in natural white and five dyed colours and finished as c100g skeins.
