Yarns by type
Our range of over 150 knitting yarns are all made from natural wool, mohair and alpaca, and all come from British sources, mostly the UK, but also the Falkland Islands.
Remember that natural fibre varies for each animal and balls of yarn will differ slightly within the legal tolerances in both length and weight. As most of our customers are looking to knit up a particular pattern we have listed them according to weight: 4-ply and finer, 5-ply guernsey yarns,Double Knitting, Light Aran and thicker.
However we have also listed by origin for those interested in a particular breed or location. Please look at Yarns by origin for these.
